VUVU

VuVu is a ceramic irrigator that reinterprets the traditional olla method through a contemporary, biomimetic approach. Vuvu design was created in 2023 by me and Črt Štrubelj.
Designed to simplify plant care, it gradually releases water through porous ceramic, ensuring optimal hydration based on the plant’s needs while reducing overwatering and waste.
The form was inspired by the pitcher plant, enabling more efficient water collection and user interaction. The project combines material experimentation, handcraft and small-scale production, supported by iterative prototyping and testing.
Beyond the product itself, VuVu explores a broader system including sustainable packaging, workshops, and community engagement. It reflects an approach to design that connects tradition, ecology, and user behavior into a simple, functional and sustainable solution.

BEESAFE (ČEBELAR + PANJ)

BeeSafe is a project developed at the University of Ljubljana, Academy of Fine Arts and Design. It focuses on safety in micromobility and looks at how users can actively contribute to improving their city. The project was mentored by Nina Mihovec, with the digital service developed under Barbara Predan and Patrik Bevec within the Service Design course.
The system combines a mobile app, ČEBELAR, where users report hazards, and PANJ, a set of modular speed bumps placed in sensitive areas like near schools, bus stops, and senior homes. The idea was to connect what people notice in everyday use with actual changes in the space. Instead of just collecting data, the project tries to turn it into something visible and physical in the city.

RIMOWA, FAMILY OF PRODUCTS

This project was developed at the University of Ljubljana, Academy of Fine Arts and Design under the mentorship of Nina Mihovec. It started as a study of Rimowa as a brand, focusing on what actually makes their products recognizable beyond just the look.
Rather than redesigning a suitcase directly, I looked into materials, construction, and how the product communicates durability and movement. The process was more about understanding and translating these qualities than creating something completely new. The outcome of the project is a Rimowa speaker and handheld light. Both products keep the material language and feeling of the original brand, but reinterpret it in a different context outside of travel luggage. The goal wasn’t to copy Rimowa’s aesthetic directly, but to understand what gives the brand its identity and translate that into products that still feel connected to it in a more contemporary way.
